Our professional guide will lead you on a tour through some of Jordan’s most spectacular natural landscapes and historical places, beginning in the charming hamlet of Dana.
You’ll hike through steep gorges, towering mountains, and rolling hills, all while admiring the scenery and learning about the region’s rich history and culture.
Along the route, you’ll stay in small towns and Bedouin camps, immersing yourself in Jordan’s distinctive customs and hospitality. You’ll also get the opportunity to sample traditional cuisine, learn about local customs, and meet welcoming residents.
The majestic Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, is, of course, the tour’s centerpiece. You’ll approach the city via the Siq, a tiny canyon that opens out to show the magnificent Treasury, and then continue touring the city’s numerous ruins, tombs, and temples. You’ll be astounded by the old architecture and learn about the interesting history of this once-great city.

Itinerary

Day 1: Our journey begins at Jabel Al Aqeb, where we will travel through the heart of Petra’s caravan networks. You’ll see the undisturbed splendor of the surrounding wilderness as we go through Wadi Qunai and Wadi Muslim. We make our tent in the gorgeous Shkarat Umm Said as the sun sets, immersing ourselves in the tranquillity of the desert.

Day 2: Get ready to be amazed as we delve further into Petra’s marvels. We go through the spectacular Wadi Umm Hashba, where towering rock formations and craggy cliffs create an enthralling background. Our Wadi Umm Hashba camping location provides an amazing opportunity to connect with nature beneath the starry desert sky.

Day 3: Today we begin on a journey across time. We visit Naqbb Qarun and Jabel Qarun, tracing old trade routes and discovering hidden gems along the way. The tour continues to Little Petra and Wadi Marwan, where the rich history and magnificent rock-cut architecture will captivate you. We spend the night at the lovely Wadi Musa camping location.

Day 4: Prepare for an adventurous day as we cross the lower reaches of Wadi Musa, taking in the breathtaking sights and difficult terrain. Our path takes us to the magical Siyyagh, an ancient location steeped in enchantment and mystery. As darkness strikes, we seek refuge in the tranquil surroundings of our Naqb Sleisel camping spot.

Day 5: Our final day will be spent trekking from Naqb Sleisel to Little Petra. With each step, you’ll see the terrain change, providing a look into the old world. As we wave farewell to the magnificent Petra, you will carry with you memories of this extraordinary experience that will last a lifetime.

The sites are scattered out across a large region at various places and heights, therefore excellent walking shoes are required.
