Begin your day early by driving to Mt. Nebo, which is just a 30-minute drive from the Dead Sea. Mt. Nebo is thought to be the location where Moses first viewed the Promised Land, and it provides breathtaking views of the Dead Sea, Jordan River, and surrounding hills. Take some time wandering around the grounds, which contain a chapel and a museum. Go to Madaba, which is about a 10-minute drive from Mt. Nebo. Madaba is famed for its mosaics from the Byzantine era, especially the well-known Madaba Map, which shows the Holy Land. See the Madaba Map and other mosaics in St. George’s Cathedral. When you’ve finished touring Madaba, take a 30-minute journey to Ma’in Hot Springs. Ma’in Hot Springs is a collection of waterfalls and pools fed by hot springs that are famous for resting and swimming in the mineral-rich waters. A spa treatment or a supper may also be enjoyed at one of the local resorts. After spending the afternoon resting at Ma’in Hot Springs, return to the Dead Sea, which is about a 45-minute drive away. Before returning to your lodging, you may watch the sunset over the Dead Sea or have a plunge in the water.
