Itinerary

Day 1: Jerash – Umm Qais

Your journey begins in Jerash, a Roman city known as the Pompei of the East. Explore its theaters, temples, churches, and colonnaded streets before heading to Umm Qais, the ancient Decapolis city of Gadara. This is where Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God and performed miracles. Return to Amman for overnight stay.

Day 2: Amman – Anjara – Tel Mar Elias – Pella

Visit Anjara, a place mentioned in the Bible where Jesus and Mary rested in a cave. Explore Tel Mar Elias, a Byzantine church associated with Elijah, and the sites of Penuel (Pella) and Mahanaim. These locations hold deep historical and biblical significance.

Day 3: Madaba – Nebo – Kerak – Petra

Drive through the Kings’ Highway to Madaba, known for its ancient Christian art. Visit Mount Nebo, where Moses overlooked the Holy Land, and explore Kerak castle. End the day in Petra, a city carved into rose-red mountains by the Nabateans.

Day 4: Petra – Sightseeing

Day 5: Petra – Lot’s cave – Dead Sea – Amman

Visit Lot’s cave and the Dead Sea, where Lot’s wife turned into a pillar of salt. Experience the healing waters of the Dead Sea before returning to Amman for leisure time.

Day 6: Baptism site – Mukawir – Umm Al Rasas

Explore the Baptism Site, Mukawir (Machaerus), and Umm Ar-Rasas.

Site topography

The tour requires a lot of walking and climbing, so comfortable shoes are a must. Also, make sure to wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
