Itinerary | ||
Day 1: Pickup and travel to Petra from your Aqaba lodging. Drive time to Petra is about 2.5 hours. Once in Petra, begin your tour of the historic city. Visit the Siq, a small canyon that features amazing rock formations. Discover the Monastery, the Treasury, and other well-known ruins. Lunch break at a local restaurant in Petra. For an overnight stay, drive to your hotel in Petra. Day 2 begins with breakfast at your hotel. Drive for about 1.5 hours to Wadi Rum. Set off on a desert 4×4 Jeep adventure, stopping at several locations and monuments such as Lawrence spring, Al Khazali canyon, and the inscriptions carved centuries ago by the Thamudic and Nabatean people, and climbing one of the sand dunes. Visit a Bedouin camp and learn about their culture while eating a traditional meal. Explore the desert’s unique features on a camel ride. Before returning to your accommodation or the port of Aqaba, watch the sunset over the desert.
