08:00 AM – Hotel Pick-Up from Wadi Musa
Meet your local English-speaking trekking guide at your hotel in Petra. After a quick briefing and gear check, transfer by 4×4 to the starting point near the Petra back trail.
08:45 AM – Trek Begins through Wadi Sabra
Begin your scenic hike through ancient valleys and dry riverbeds. Pass through breathtaking sandstone formations, remote Nabataean sites, and remnants of Roman roads, far from the tourist crowds.
11:30 AM – Ascent to Jabal Haroun (1,350 m)
Reach the summit of Jabal Haroun, the highest peak in Petra and one of the most sacred sites in Jordan. According to tradition, this is where Prophet Aaron (Haroun), brother of Moses, was buried.
12:00 PM – Visit the White Domed Shrine
Explore the ancient white-domed shrine built by the Mamluks and take in panoramic views of Petra, Wadi Araba, and even into Israel/Palestine on a clear day.
01:00 PM – Picnic Lunch on the Summit
Enjoy a locally packed lunch while sitting above the clouds, surrounded by silence, history, and raw beauty
01:45 PM – Begin Descent via Alternate Trail
