A Five-Day Adventure to Petra and Little Petra

Take a transforming 5-day, 4-night journey to Jordan’s Petra and Little Petra, discovering ancient treasures and natural splendour. Day two takes you off the main route to Little Petra, a hidden jewel of Nabatean architecture, and the ancient Beidha Neolithic town, which sheds light on Jordan’s pre-pottery Neolithic period.
Day three takes you to the breathtaking landscapes of Wadi Rum, where you’ll go on a thrilling jeep safari past Lawrence of Arabia’s famous Seven Pillars of Wisdom. Finally, days four and five provide immersive experiences in the Dana Nature Reserve, including stunning hikes through Wadi Dana and relaxing overnight stays at the eco-friendly Feynan Eco Lodge. Itinerary

Day 1: Petra and the Monastery

Embark on a captivating journey through the ancient city of Petra, starting with a guided tour from the main gate. Traverse the mesmerizing Siq, a narrow fissure flanked by towering cliffs, until you reach the iconic Treasury, followed by the Nabatean Roman Theater, the Roman Road (Cardo), and the majestic Great Temple. Climb the stairs to the Monastery and be rewarded with a splendid view overlooking the Wadi Araba. After soaking in the breathtaking vistas, descend back to the Basin and return through the Siq to Wadi Musa for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: Little Petra – Beidha Neolithic Village Site – Jabal Qarun

Explore the enchanting site of Little Petra, known as Beer Al Araies, where you’ll discover the Nabatean markets and Siq Al Barid, along with Nabatean quest houses and temples. Embark on a hike to the Beidah Neolithic village, offering a glimpse into life during the pre-pottery Neolithic period in Jordan, dating back to 7200 BC. Continue your adventure by four-wheel drive through Siq Umm Al-Alda to Jabal Qarun, where you’ll marvel at panoramic views overlooking Wadi Araba and Petra. Conclude the day with an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3: Petra – Wadi Rum

Journey through the legendary Wadi Rum, passing the famous Seven Pillars of Wisdom immortalized by Lawrence of Arabia. Explore the desert landscape by jeep for four exhilarating hours, discovering Lawrence Springs and ancient inscriptions left by the Thamudic and Nabatean people centuries ago. Traverse Khazzall Canyon, admire the Little Stone Bridge, and perhaps climb one of the natural rock formations. Visit the house where Lawrence of Arabia once lived before retiring to your desert camp for a memorable overnight experience.

Day 4: Wadi Rum – Dana

Embark on a morning transfer to Dana Village, offering stunning views of the Dana Nature Reserve. Begin a scenic hike through Wadi Dana, immersing yourself in the rugged beauty of the landscape. Trek for approximately five hours, taking in the diverse flora and fauna of the reserve, before arriving at the Feynan Eco Lodge for a restful overnight stay.

Day 5: Dana – Departure

Continue your journey through Wadi Dana with another five-hour hike, marveling at the natural wonders that surround you. Conclude your adventure at the Feynan Eco Lodge before departing for your onward journey, filled with memories of an unforgettable exploration of Petra, Little Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dana Nature Reserve.
