Itinerary

Day 1: Amman airport – Amman city

Meet at Amman Queen Alia Airport, assist with visa formalities, transfer to Amman, check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Amman – Jerash – Ma’in Hot Springs

After breakfast, drive north and visit Jerash (Gerasa), known as the land of Gilead, it was part of the Roman Decapolis and referred to as the Pompeii of the East.  Jerash is the best-preserved city of Roman times, and visit its theaters, temples, churches and colonnaded streets, drive to Ma’in hot springs, 58 km south of Amman and 120 meters below sea level, which are the thermal mineral hot springs and waterfalls. Where Herod the Great bathed in its medicinal water, people have come for the thermal treatments, simply to enjoy a hot soak since the days of Rome, over night at Amman.

Day 3: Free day at the Dead Sea

A free day at the beach, Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, have free time for swimming float, mud bath and relaxation.

Day 4: Free day

Another free day at the beach at Dead Sea, have free time for swimming and relaxation, overnight.

Day 5: Dead Sea – Madaba – Nebo – Karak Castle – Petra

After breakfast transfer to Madaba and visit the famous mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Your next stop will be Mount Nebo, where like Moses you will be able to overlook the Holy Land and the Dead Sea. If the sky is clear Jerusalem, Jericho and Bethlehem will meet your eye.
The journey will continue along the King’s Highway. On the way, you will pass through Wadi Mujeb, the grand canyon of Jordan. You will stop in Karak for lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the huge castle where Saladin and Richard Lionheart fought during the crusades. While enjoying the beautiful landscapes the journey continues along the King’s Highway to Petra, to your hotel and overnight.

Day 6: Petra

After breakfast, transfer to Petra, start a guided tour and visit the many sites of Petra, the city carved into the rose-red Mountains by the Nabateans and lost to Civilization until re-discovered by the Swiss Burkhardt. Walk through the Siq.

A narrow and winding fissure between the cliffs, to reach the Treasury, the Nabatean Roman Theater, the royal tombs, the Roman Road, the great temple, the temple of the Winged Lion and the basin, evening to your hotel at Wadi Musa, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Snake Monument – Jabal Haroun – Sabra

Early morning hike through Petra Siq to the Snake Monument, Jabal Haroun to the tomb of Haroun, and enjoy the panoramic view of Petra and Wadi Araba, then hike to Wadi Sabra where you can see Nabatean ancient ruins of Sabra and hike back to Wadi Mus for overnight.

Day 8: Petra – Wadi Rum – Aqaba

In the morning transfer to Wadi Rum, you will explore the land of Lawrence of Arabia; you shall pass the famous seven pillars of wisdom, described by Lawrence and explore Wadi Rum by jeep for two hours. Visit Lawrence Springs, Al Khazali canyon and the inscriptions made by the Thamudic and Nabatean people centuries ago, and climb one of the sand dunes, then drive to the Red Sea to Aqaba city, to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Aqaba Free Day

You will be free to spend the day at Aqaba according to your own wishes. Suggestions (optional: diving or snorkeling, relaxing on one of the beautiful sandy beaches, or perhaps you would like to take a trip on a glass boat and see the amazing coral reefs), overnight Aqaba.

Day 10: Aqaba – Lot’s Cave – The Pillar of Lot's Cave– Wadi Mujib – Amman

In the morning travel via Wadi Araba, visit Lot’s cave near the small town of Zoar (modern-day Safi), see Lot’s wife pillar and will arrive Dead Sea the lowest point on earth, hike in Wadi Mujeb (lower part). Then transfer to Amman for your hotel.

Day 11: Amman – Amman airport

Transfer to Amman Queen Alia Airport for departure.
