Pick up from the Dead Sea early in the morning, proceed to Jerash (Gerasa), part of the Roman Decapolis and frequently referred to as the Pompeii of the East, the best-preserved Roman city, and tour its theaters, temples, churches, and colonnaded streets. Then, drive to Amman, Jordan’s capital, to see the Citadel, the Archeological Museum, the Jordanian Museum of Popular Traditions, the Folklore Museum, the Roman Theater, the old and new Amman, the ancient market, and then return to the Dead Sea. |
